Slim to none I'd say. Be a brave (foolish) Government that would disband the Red Arrows.

Problem is that the hawk jet is currently right at the end of its life.

Even the RAF ones have just been through a complete tear down to extend their life.

Nothing to do with axing the red arrows, just that the aircraft they use becoming obsolete

Lots of the parts aren't made anymore so the cost to keep them flying is huge

But they could be extended further if the Gov. hadn't decided to close the factory which still makes the Hawk Trainers at Brough in Yorks.

Airframe has gone beyond its lifespan already and has been extended out to 2030 through tons of investment

QinetiQ have spent the last few years and millions of quid completely rebuilding and upgrading them but they are still properly old, like 40 years old

No sense in manufacturing something that is so old and out of date

It's like still making steam trains, they still technically do the job but just not whats needed in 2017 etc
