I'm always astounded about how late they leave it to eject

I always have serious problems trying to explain to my other half the hero/cult like status these guys have amongst a 70s kids generation.

She just doesn’t get it. I mean how many more exciting things were there when you were 10 years old and you saw these guys?

How many more exciting things are there now!?

So I always feel a sense of loss when an accident happens to them.
