Reg Harris, 93 years young realising his dream to fly a Spitfire. Reg (ex-65 Squadron) worked on Spitfires from 1942 onwards. "I've waited 69 years for this" he said. Actually Reg may have worked on this very Spitfire while attached to 441 Squadron)

I looked into getting my dad a flight in one bloody expensive though but saying that the experience would be worth it if you appreciate this kind of thing.

Hi @Althulas / @Jack Ratt . you could always go up / dad could go up in a Dragon Rapide (built in 1946 - an experience in itself) and fly in formation with a spitfire..Did this from Duxford last year. Fantastic experience..

That will be fantastic..think the passenger is in the front in a tiger moth. wouldn't fancy being that close to the propeller...only your goggles separating you from the propeller. . My mum wants to go in one..shes 85
