Can anybody point me in the direction of info on removal of the interior trims and carpets.
I have made a start but don't want to break any trims/fixings out of ignorance.
ie what has to come off to allow removal of carpets ?
Particularly the plastics around the back of the cabin.

Long time since I took mine out, so I hope i don't miss anything.
Seats, obviously.
Center console, think there's a screw under the ashtray, two at the rear, four at the front. Lift it up gently and you can access all the electrical connectors to disconnect them all.
Rear console/box thing. Screws, behind it and inside it.
The seatbelt tops have two screws hidden under grommets.
That lets you at the screws for the side panels.
The side sill covers, I can't remember if they pop off, or, slide forward.

I think there's a 'how to' on fitting hoops, that shows the removal of all the screws for the rear trim.

If it's to remove the carpets for cleaning, I recommend power washing them, mine came up great, not new, but near enough.

Thanks Iain
I was hoping I wouldn't have to remove all the stuff at the back cos I have a hard top on, don't want to take it off, and no garage. Means access is poor.
But good info, ta

When I did mine managed it with the hood up. Only problem would be if you have hoops, they have to come out upwards. If you managed to loosen everything you could still get the carpets out without actually removing the trim “I think”.
Forgot:
Hardest part I found was getting the damn accelerator pedal off. YouTube vids and some silicone spray helped there.

Found a clip on line. looks as if there's a clip, at the back holding it to the floor, then slide it off the rest of the arm.
What could possibly go wrong ?:)

Spent most of the day outside, it's sunny, removing the hardtop so I can get the rear cabin plastics out.
I decided to remove just the drivers side, which meant I had to split the carpet to remove it. (join will be hidden under the console when refitted.)
In the garage now trying to dry out.
Pic attached for anybody who doubts the amount of water that can be held there.
It also meant the soft top was revealed for the first time.
The guy I bought off was correct, it has a new plastic window fitted.... But VERY badly  I doubt it would be waterproof:rolleyes:
So I have to consider whether it's something I can tackle or I need a professional?
Now I have to find a way to access the drain holes behind the seats, I can't seem to get at them, any suggestions ? Like maybe just pour some water in the area and see if it drains successfully?

Have a look on YouTube Gordon there is a video by "Muppet 18 years" our very own @FRANKIE. Shows you where the drains are.

Search "Muppet 18 Years" on You Tube and all I'm seeing are hundreds of vids from Jim Henson's crew. Any other keywords I could search for?

Thanks Tony

I found these, they were also less than free draining. Got a bit of 2.5mm cable to 'rod' it out.
Drains a treat now.
However we'll have to check whether the drainage was my only water ingress issue. I sincerely hope so:whistle::thumbsup:
