Removal of the plastic interior kick plate

Hi All,
I have replacement door seal rubbers to go on the car but to take them off I need to remove a bit of trim on the inside of the car that is holding it in place and I can't work out how to get it out.
The piece I am trying to remove is the middle piece on the interior that is holding the rubber seal. It will move front to back but I can't see how to get it out. Is anyone able to give me some instruction? Cheers. Richard

As far as I can remember Richard it pulls upwards out of some clips. RealOEM might show you?

Thanks Tony. It must need some real force to pull it. I've been trying but a bit scared to pull too hard in case that is not the direction to pull. Will give it a go. Cheers.

Can you get a trim removal tool underneath it to lever it off?

Not getting anywhere with trying to leave it off. Will check out real oem and see if any pointers there

Just brute force upwards, held in by 3 or 4 big push fit plugs.

The trim might snap, I’ve never broken one of the plugs!

That's what I am worrying about, breaking the trim. It is not planning on moving for me any time soon.

I broke a trim doing this because I watched a YouTube video showing brute force upwards. Don't. Instead, get a long shaft large flat bladed screwdriver, lift the end of the trim sufficiently to get the blade in and push in till it comes to a stop against the first plug then turn it. This will pop the first plug. Move the blade further in and again, turn the blade and the second plug will pop. The last one can be encouraged by also lifting the free end of the trim. Good luck.

Thanks for the advise. Will give this a go tomorrow afternoon and see how I get on.

The clips are pretty strong. There are 3 of them, one in each end and one in the middle, prize up one end and the middle, the last end can then be slid off

Try to get your fingers right under the inside so you can feel the clips and squeeze your fingers either side of the clips - painful, but it works.

Big screwdriver. Gentle firm twist and they popped out. Both door seals now replaced and all trim refitted. Thanks for the help guys.
