There’s a whole host of head units out there. but all of those will stream to an iPhone but you will have to do some more reading on them if they play well through a usb cable to lightening cable so you can charge and play.
I run an old Alpine CDA 9887 with the old iPhone connector that plugs into the unit via usb and run and second gen iPod . Interface a bit clunky compared to modern stuff but plays the tunes ok. Will be looking to upgrade somewhere down the line.

No they should run fine but you will need a harness to plug into either from Halfords etc if you want it now or a bit cheaper on eBay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173546646805
You may want to check if you have the amp speaker in the passenger footwell and may need to bypass it if it makes your system sound crap

if you search Z3 speaker amp you should find a few threads explaining why the bypass. You might not have one though and will be just plug and play.
