S50 valve shim adjustments

Hi everyone. Got a real problem trying to find somewhere where I can get this done. Thought I’d found somewhere, they had the car for two weeks then told me they couldn’t do it ! I then phoned my main dealer in Bath and they didn’t bother phoning back. Any help much appreciated.

Hi there. Yes it is. They look like just what I need.

Many mechanics want the car cold when they do the clearance so you may have to leave it overnight.

Yes, the engine needs to be cold when doing the shims. If a garage doesn't insist on this, they shouldn't be used IMO.

Check clearance is part of every Inspection Service. Correcting clearance may be charged as an extra.

I doubt there is anything //M related he hasn't seen or done.
And he races an s54 engined e30 on the weekends!
Sensible pricing too.
