Please can someone tell me why the search box does not work on this forum. It just comes up with an error.
I would like search for past topics but it does not let me. Thanks Andy

I just typed in 'Reggie' (A members Z3) and loads of links came up. What are you looking for?

try typing in the word /phrase you want into the search box top right and then click on the search button that shows at the bottom of the pop up box. or use the 'search forum' toolbar at the top of the forum home page

It sometimes won’t work if the search term is too short.

@Andrew Buxcey - can you tell me what error you get and I can probably give you an answer for it

There is an alternative method for searching which can provide slightly better results using Google site search. It works in a slightly different way in that it queries the search results it's scraped and indexed from the site. Google regularly indexes the site (multiple times a day) so there is a good chance that even content posted relatively recently will be returned.

It gets around the SQL database limitation on searches being restricted to a minimum of 3 characters.

site:zroadster.org bmw z3

If you put certain phrases in quote marks then it will refine the search down to that exact phrase (where possible). Google doesn't seem to have indexed this particular thread as yet though... give it time
