I said I'd never buy a Z4 as I was a hard fast Z3 owner. Well as some of you know I weakened a bit last week and purchased @zedwheels lovely Alpina and to be fair the only reasons I bought it was it being an Alpina. It is totally different driving experience to the Z3M, much more relaxing to drive, but seems to be at first impression a lot less engaging though that may change once I get used to it ;). Anyway it is a lovely car and a credit to Brian who has kept it looking suburb.

Some pics for those that are not familiar with the car (sorry Brian I got it dirty:whistle:)

Congrats Niall, I've seen this car many times and as you say it's a credit to Brian. Hope you have many happy miles in her:thumbsup:

The pics don't do this justice, although with a wash maybe :D

Such a good looking car, and exactly why I'd buy one of these any day over the M version (sorry Rally). I'd say I can't wait to see it on a 'shed day, but I've seen it loads already... :p

Me too, just picked up a Z4 with the intention of tidying it up then come spring sell it or will think about selling the Z3 and keeping it. First impressions lot easier to drive than the Z3 and a lot quicker, but not surprising the Z3 being a 4 pot and this being a six. Somehow though doesn't feel as engaging and don't get the same sense of occasion that i get in the Z3.

Well said, that's how I felt on my drive home. It was just a drive albeit a pleasant one, need the sun out and the roof down to really evaluate though. One thing I do like is sitting at 80 and only 2500rpm against the Z3s 4000 ........ Fuel ;) I can see her becoming my long haul Zed

Much more refined a drive than the M/// but will stay with them all day long with the determined driver, and I'm sure Nodzed is one of those!:racecar: enjoy.

Congratulations, I've seen #105 on a number of occasions and she wears her mileage very well - a tribute to Brian's ownership

I'm sure you'll have lots of fun in her and, if you find you want even more, just add a Quaife diff :)
