Shot Gun Wheels!!

At the recent seat bush workshop there was a conversation that using spent shot gun cartridges make good wheel nut covers. So I was a bit fortunate this week to be able to obtain some cartridges and thought as it's going to be a wet Saturday morning why not have a play and see what they turn out like.
Here's my efforts, not sure how long they will stay on!!

Looking a little bling bling now!!
Made some spares just in case, but hey looking a little better than before so let's see how they go, the down side is the the old girl is off road now til the spring so can't show them off just yet.

Hopefully they were spent cartridges, and then one has to ask the question, why have you got shot gun cartridges, and did anyone get hurt or lose money when you spent them..............

No, I have no gun but I know a man that has!! No humans or pets were hurt in obtaining these but I think a few partridge had to be sacrificed.

Did they wedge tightly onto the wheels nuts?
Reminds me of the old days with cigarette packets on the bike wheels.

They do look nice but I would hesitate to drive with them on. Should they come off there is a chance that someone could get hurt or even worse, they scratch the zed! Here in Tasmania the driver can be held responsible for any damage or injury to others.

The law is the same here Cooper, but i think there is more chance of someone actually getting hurt trying to do this by cutting up live shells, it will happen, or they will not cut em down and just try and knock em on, shooting the wheel off in the process, believe me on this, the UK is not full of rocket scientists............
