Please come back and report.
Contrary to Facebook, forums are a knowledge base and the "search" button is there for people to search for experiences other members had.
Dead end threads never helped anyone.

I like that....that's funny (and quite accurate IME).

There is another forum I belong to where many people turn up out of the blue and 'demand' that someone helps them with their issue. No 'introduction' post or even the 'long time lurker' excuse, just straight in with the "I have a problem and I need someone to sort it for me NOW. to save me money" kind of thing.
If they don't listen to advice, some members (naming no names...ahem) can get a little sarcastic and less than helpful. I have seen many a new poster run off while shouting things like "this forum is full of idiots and ars*holes".

My pet peeve is people who sign up just to advertise their cars for sale for free. Not really cricket in my book.
