Quite frankly NO I don't understand his stance and having flitted between both web sites recently I will be "voting with my feet".

I am utterly disgusted that he has had the gaul to send you that message, his words are beyond belief and I don't want any association with a forum being led by someone like that.

Honestly I'm stunned.

I'll probably not be able to log back on .net after today - I've just pm'd Mr Cullis.

Hi all,

Just a general note from a moderation point of view. I don't want a flame war to start between this site and any individuals/other sites. I certainly don't want to have to edit/delete/lock any topics/posts.

If you have an issue with any other forum/individual then can you please take it up with them?

I hope that you can all see the point I am trying to make, but feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Gary.

< REMOVED >

Only the link to .org was asked to be removed, as that is against .net policy, I don't think Tim meant any more than that.

To back that up, I was approached by Desiro on behalf of Kevan (Canman) asking if it would be possible for the forum to do something in support of the charity. I discussed this with Admin/Mods and it was agreed that although zroadster will not sponsor a specific Charity there will be no objection to Desiro or Kevan posting a thread if they wanted to organise a meet/run/event in aid of MND and placing a link to the MND website within that thread.

That thread can be found here http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33358

the link wasn't to .org it was to Virgin money , hardy advertising a competitor either.
Guess Tim is not the charitable type. Dont really understand why .net couldn't as a site support MNDA but we have here. :-??

Kevan, without sounding harsh, there are many debilitating diseases, some of which are pertinent to Forum members.

It would be grossly unfair for zroadster.net to support one in particular so the decision was made to give you the opportunuty to make other Forum members aware of your chosen Charity.

I think the thread on zroadster.net was well received by members

i am fully aware that there are hundreds of terminal illnesses, having been a member since 2009 of .net i cannot recall anyone requesting a charity sponsorship or major fundraising events. Hence the question was asked.
Yes the thread was well received and those are the ones that have also donated through .org.

You are correct, no requests to my knowledge have been made, that doesn't mean they don't exist.

There are lots of members that I count as friends, some of those chose to share a confidence.

I'm sorry that you feel upset by the decision.

I'm afraid that this is a prime example of how heartless and disgraceful some people can be.
I think that Mr Cullis should take a moment to think and recognise that it is the forum members that make a forum what it is and these members should be valued!!!!!
Theres only one person that will cause people to stray away from that forum and it certainly isn't Canman!!! s;)
