Not everyone's cup of tea but I swapped the red seats, door cards and brushed aluminium dash panels over to black/yellow. Definitely brightened up the interior!

Then changed the standard gear lever over for a solid billet steel alternative which is shorter and considerably heavier (.5 kg). Not only looks better, but makes improves the feel of the gear change,

Thats what i mean the interior is totally lifted, and it is to my taste. That round gear stick knob adds a touch of class also.I like what you did to the aluminium dash piece. Mine is the black leather seats with the aluminium trim,it looks too clinical in my opinion .ps yellow is my favourite colour!

Haha, thanks. I suffered the same problem as you in terms of the car looking quite dull. I hate black cars, but always end up buying them anyway. Black with red interior is a great combination don't get me wrong, but the car just faded in to the back ground. Wanted it to stand out more and the vinyl wrap certainly made it do that!

One alternative is to find a good auto trimmer near you and get the trim leather coated, maybe two tone & stitched like the ones I have. The trim panels are relatively easy to remove.

Mine were originally the brushed alloy ones, and below shows my reasonable attempt at vinyl wrapping them which looked much better to the eye - just before I bought the new interior.

There's a guy in the US who goes by LeatherZee. He has some nice stuff for the E85. I bought a centre console arm rest from him and some pads for the door armrests while we were in Florida 2 or 3 years ago. There are pictures on my build thread if you care to have a look.

Tony.
