Spline key size?

Hi folks,

can anyone tell me the size of the spline key for the two bolts which hold the hard top at the front of the windscreen please? Z3M.

Just had a look in Bentleys and they say use the T bar from the toolkit !!!!
Just looked at my boot toolkit and there isnt one or even space for one.

The screw part number is 54218410534. And is an M8 x 18 Torx drive screw. At that size I would imagine it would be a T30 or T40 Torx drive, but cant find anywhere that gives the actual drive size

thanks Mazza, yes I’ve looked at my book and like you I don’t have one in my tool kit either!

It is a T40, I have just checked mine. I expect the tool was only supplied if the car came with a hardtop.

oh that’s great thanks, I’m fairly sure it came with the hard top but key is not in my tool kit! Many thanks.
