Can anyone recommend shocks and springs kit for the MR, and where best to buy? Also which powerflex bushes would you recommend, black or purple?

I would only recommend black powerflex if you are going to track your car for more then 50%
For roaduse, the bilstein, koni's and the H&R shocks are very good. For road use with a little of track aspirations, I would go with the BC Racing coilovers.

I wouldn't use Black with our roads because their is no give in them, for a track focused car maybe. On my M I used Koni's with adjustable dampers so I could stiffen them up for fun days like up in wales I also ran purple Powerflex all round. I fitted BC's to Dino's with adjustable top mounts. Some people run Bilsteins which I hear is firm. Pick a brand and get hunting :)

Yellow speed are great coilovers just out this year and they are slightly cheaper than BC's.

I'm happy they my Apex springs and sachs shocks on mine but I'm not using it on track.

wouldnt touch black poweflex on the road. standard purple will be an improvement over stock but not too harsh on UK roads.

as always with suspensionm you get what you pay for.

I've heard lots of good things about bilstein shocks with eibach springs so that is what im fitting to mine this weekend. Good blend of price vs performance vs longevity

Have gone with Koni with h and r springs
The yellow's from Koni?
Before I decided to go with the BC Racing Coilovers, I was thinking to go for these Koni Yellow's (PRO: the compression harshness can be changed like with the coilovers)
