Can anyone suggest a company to refurb a business rds cassette player out of a 2000 z3. The cassette runs slow.

Quite funny really. My 7yr old was amazed by how music was stored on a ribbon and played back. Instead of saying hey google to a speaker.

They are actually pretty simple to take apart. I suggest you do that and give it a good clean. In the bus rds the tape unit comes out easily.

Yep 8 track but It’s what I used to call them. It used to make me laugh when my dad was frequently sorting out chewed up tapes. The reams of it I suppose you had to be there.

Hi Richard

Did you ever find a company that deal with head unit refurb. The LCD screen on my Z3 Business RDS head unit is failing (well, let's be honest, is pretty much illegible).

I have tried pretty hard to keep this Z as stock, so would really like to get the head unit refurbished or repaired, rather than replace it with something newer.

Any suggestions welcome.
