Possible Sale of LHD M44 Auto
Might be of interest to someone across the pond.....?.......
Due to the condition of my eye sight, I am not allowed to drive and have not done so since August last year but the car is not stood rotting away, as my boss is looking after it for me (he used to call it a 'gay car' until he worked out that there was a softtop under the hardtop)
As in the title, "possible sale" as I hope that my eyes might improve (not holding my breath)

Here is just a quick description of the car. I have no idea of asking price just yet.
The car sailed through its APK (MOT) this last month.
Runing on winter rubber with plenty of rubber left.
October 1996 16 valve M44 Auto, Arctic Silver with red seats and door panels (some marks on driver side bolster) no stone chips but slight scratch on rear bumper (bloody cars with tow hooks)
Hardtop.
Boot rack.
BMW suitcase to fit rack.
Tonneu cover.
Wind deflector.
Spare set of brand new never used chrome gills.
New digital clock (needs fitting as the one in the car is not good)
Alarm not working (glove box needs to be removed to reset it)
Car 100% OEM.
KM about 187,000 now

That's a real shame your eyesight is deteriorating to this point. If you want I can post this out on to some of the social sites and see if there is any interest there?

Hey Mike I'm very sorry to hear about you eyesight problem. I'm not one for meeting trouble halfway but my late father suffered with macular degeneration ( the wet type) and it is more than likely that I will follow suit later in life. I don't have great sight even now (probably inherited from my late mum) so I aim to enjoy my car for as long as I can too. I hope you don't need to let you car go for a long time to come.

They think its Glaucoma (spelling) as it is in my family.
My Dad has it but caught it on time and his late Mum had it (died at the age of 103 !) but became blind as there was no treatment in those days.
My brother does not have it.

Sorry to hear that. If I find myself in Holland I'll give you a shout and try and terrify you by offering you a lift!

Hi HT, sorry to hear about the eyes, but it ain't over till it's over! My Grandad and Dad had Parkinson's and when the shakes started about 20 yrs ago I figured here it comes. Last year when it got to the point of literal convulsions I figured the game was about over. They've finally found a med that has slowed things to the point I can get a cup of coffee to my mouth without wearing half. So don't give up even with the family history cuz I don't have the dreaded P but rather something called essential tremors and non fatal. Let me know when you make a decision on the car. We drive on the wrong side over here as you know. Good luck friend, JIM
