Not keen on all the masking tape makes it look more used than new =))
@Grumpy Me too. Looks more saloonish than roadster

Looks a bit of a chunky monkey, and those wheels look like they belong on a shopping trolley

Even iff it did have all the film off it,I don't think it would look as good as the original z4 imho.

I agree. Looks like BMW have lost the sense of styling for a roadster. I still say they should make one from the best bits of all the Zs built. Think that would be one awesome looking car. Front of the Z3 rear of the Z4 doors of the Z1 and lights and exhaust of the Z8

Difficult to take a view from the pic, let's hope it's a good 'un though.

Hope it does well for the brand! Love my Z as a weekend toy but won't be looking to invest 30K - 40K in a replacement.

Seems to follow all 'all new' models these days - gets bigger overall - that's it!

As long as it looks like a BMW and not a Toyota on launch.

I found another report last month about it being part hybrid and also 4 wheel drive system! Hopefully only the Toyota version

They also mentioned a 400bhp+ M model so it now has my attention :D

Looks more like a slab sided saloon rather than a low slung roadster - nothing like as nice and curvy as the E89 or the more straight lined E85 - Retrograde step :(

I've watching new roadster news with big attention. i hope new bmw roadster will be more e85-like rather e89-like. softtop is a good indication!

I am certainly hoping there are some curves under all that wall paper

I don't understand why every version of a car line has to get bigger these days. This looks too cumbersome and soft for a sports car to me.:(

It looks more like a saloon cabriolet than a soft top roadster. Too big. Too tall too fat. It's like they're trying to make a GT.
