Yeah, go on then Paul. Last show and all that . . .

If it's sloshing with rain and the field is ankle deep in mud I may loose some enthusiasm mind . . .

Think its weather dependent for all of us. October last year did see a great day at Castle Howard cold but dry. Lets hope for the same.
Are you doing the Toast to coast next Saturday?

Was it . . A breakfast bap at The Motorist (?) around 8.00/0900, followed by a route (to be determined) towards Whitby / Scarborough / Filey / somewhere ? I forget . . . 😄

Gulp ! Glad you mentioned then - thanks ! Calendar corrected . . . It might be closer to 09h30 arrival rather than 09h00 if I'm honest, but I'll do my best . . .

I've had 6 hours out in the Dales today and loved every minute of it. Something over 200 miles. Okay, there were a few slow pokes. I never seem to get narked when driving in the Zed, but there were 2 or 3 occassions when I suddenly became aware that I'd stayed in 2nd & 3rd gears for several 10's of minutes. Right, I'll have to fix that then . . .

Look I know some of those roads might be a 60 zone in theory, but only a madman would attempt those speeds when twisting and winding (lovely Zedding roads though). Just be sensible - no need for speed. Be considerate for what may be approaching you round that blind corner, cyclists and motorbikes (because of the steel pin in my right leg I do have a particular affinity for them). But when did it become socially acceptable to sit at 20 and 30 mph on the straight bits, and then slow down for corners ?

OK, Rant over. I could see other drivers getting narked, but I genuinely don't, but jeez, come on guys . . .

On the plus side, I've now seen Buttertubs Pass - what a special road that is . . .

Did the Buttertubs last year bit misty but challenging would love to do on a clear day

Perhaps a good one to do as a group (small) next year

Hi. considered it until I saw it was 3.5 hours to get to the meeting place. Will wait for one down South. Minor rant; As a newbie zed owner I am loving the experience bar one caveat; The good people of Weston-Super-Mare seem to be on a collective mission to pxxs me off. As soon as I approach the rear of another car, they hear the engine and or see me, top-down smiling manically, and then slow down. For what??? They assume I am going to drive like a hooligan, so believe it is their civic duty to slow me up Maybe a consequence of driving a zed, but I wondered if anyone else experienced the same thing when they are out and about?

All. The. Damn. Time. Story of my life lately - I feel for you.

Come on peeps. Just do something near the speedlimit please - if its within 10mph its no bother. 20 mph and I'm probably going to have to think about overtaking you at some point. My recent record was 15mph in a 60 zone.

But then I cheer up. I'm in a Zed. And they're not. (happyface)

Just enjoy the car . . .

Just wait until you're behind one of these morons at a traffic light, it changes to Red/Amber and they start to wash their windscreen. It will happen I can guarantee it. Has happened to me in my Eunos, Z3, and Z4. Still waiting for it in this car.
Shirl has had it in her MX5 and both Eos.

Wish i had time, Run to Warrington to pick up a replacement Zed (not for me but for John who's Z4 2.2 has been written off cat S. Wing and headlamp plus bumper marked) He's bought the Zed back of the Insurance company if anyone wants a damage repairable will be on e bay very soon.

He's joining the new group formally the E85 Sterling grey club now the E89 Alpine white group.

Looks like being nice on Sunday. I would have had a drive up, but I've been ill for two weeks, now waiting for test results to identify the virus.
