Sorry, it was a moth, this is a Stampe.It's a sad story but it would be nice & respectful if the paper had shown a picture of a Tiger Moth instead of a Stampe SV4!
Yeah, that's what I'm saying - the photo in Hardtops link to the Daily Mail's article is of a Stampe - it's just a shame that the paper hadn't printed a picture of the correct aircraft out of respect to the two victims.
I agree that the average journalist does not bother much with accuracy but if you compare the two photos, you can see that the one the paper published is a moth. The Moth and the Stampe are very similar but look at the typical DH tail fin on the second photo.The Daily Mail is a rag and the so called 'journalists' are all a bunch of spotty work experience types that can't be bothered to look up a photo of the type of plane being posted in the article, same with most stuff on there.
