Hi My shocks have become very tired on my 98 Z3M and have heard that Bilstein do an OE replacement set. Will this cause a harsher ride as if so I will never hear the end of it. Also were the original shocks actually Bilstein?
Cheers
Bob

Can't speak for your Z3M or the specific makes of shocks.
But had my fear shocks renewed a while back and it is a lot firmer ride .

I had bilstein b4 (oem replacement) on mine

Ride was excellent. I matched them with eibach 30mm springs

Changed my original 20 year old shocks in February and the difference is night and day. Much smoother ride. Mine aren't bilstiens though and I can't remember the name. @Lee may do as he fitted them.

All the shocks I fit to zeds are OEM which is Boge/Sachs now the same company. Unless someone states they want an uprated setup then I venture to Bilstein B4, B6, B12 depending on what you intend to use it for.

Got Bilstein B8s on my M certainly stiffer in suppression and rebound than OEM but not too severe still a good ride, highly recommend them
