can anyone recommend a torque wrench, which actually works, for the 10-20nM range and doesn’t break the bank? Less than £50 say.
I’ve got a cheap 1/4” one from Amazon and it’s sh!te.

thanks

I bought this one from Halfords. 8 - 60 Nm. 3/8 drive.

Bought it to use on my 1300 Pan European but its been really useful on my Zed and never had any problems with it

Just bought a halfords advanced 3/8” torque wrench to compliment my smaller socket set. £85, more than I wanted to spend but it’s a lifetime tool I’ll always use.
Most importantly it’s in stock and can be collected tomorrow morning.

A shame Halfords mechanics, sorry Technicians aren't made to the same quality as their tool brand, which are very good !

One word of advice, if someone doesn't know, is when you've finished using the wrench, before cleaning it and putting away ensure that the adjustment is reset to zero. Do not leave it under tension. However if you're telling this to someone who knows very little SHOW them how to do it, I didn't one time and it cost me a new Torque wrench because the young lad just kept winding and winding. My employer wouldn't pay me for a replacement saying it was my fault.

Tony.
