I had upgraded /modded the intake on my 2.8 i went through a few filters the first being to small and throttling the engine up the top end .
When i resized it it resolved this and it has been supurb.
I had modded a waste bin of all things to a air sheild and carbon wrapped it to make it look at home.

I have ran with it for quite a few months and its been fine but have wanted a Simota kit for a while but they are normally £200 odd and couldn't justify it when my £25 mod was doing its job.
I finally came across one at fair money so decided to buy it .
Its a hard thing to buy second hand as the trumpets are different as well as filter size but found on that was listed as E36 M3 and E46 330CI so the filter was going to be large enough and i was sure i could make it fit properly.
A few silicone hoses later and a little trimming of the trumpet to suit the inner wing line i gotva great fit.
It sounds great very free reving, blipping the throttle you just hear it sup air open the throttle and it growls ...Very pleased.

The Simota certainly does give a lovely induction noise and looks so good under the bonnet .

The original made a nice noise its more the person infront that hears it but it makes the throttle very snappy and the car runs/ticksover very smooth and quiet.
