After the 600 mile run at the weekend I was well and truly fed up with constantly hitting my left hand on the sat nav charger every time I changed into 5th gear so decided it was time to make one of these, bought the duel charger from Aldi for a couple of quid and pulled it to bits and fitted to a blank, sods law, I can't find the super glue, I will take it to work tomorrow glue it all together and solder a couple of wires on to it, whats the best way to wire it in and which connection is positive, thanks

Hi Sean, if it's a plug-into-cig. lighter type you've used can you follow which contact went to the centre of the cig. lighter socket contact as that is the positive connection.

Tony.

After seeing your usb blank i popped into Aldi to look at these plugs but noticed the 2.4a socket area isn't flat. Do you have a side on view of your usb blank

I don't at the minute mate but you need to take it down with a file so that it is flat, there is plenty of plastic to go at, I fitted it tonight and I'm really pleased with it.

Do you put a fuse in line or direct to the 12v socket
