Told that it fly's over Mid and Northern England on the Saturday and its last is over the Southern sector on Sunday the 11th?

May need to go elsewhere to see the Vulcan, police are warning of road closures and no waiting zones around Finningley (Robin Hood airport)
Hoping to look for a suitable location to arrange a meet if anyone up for it

This is the route released today for Saturday timings are being withheld till Friday. It will be an afternoon takeoff lasting 3,5 hours
Amongst the places being visited on this route:
Gainsborough, Brough, Menwith Hill, Leeming, Durham Tees Airport*, Newcastle Airport*, Eshott Airfield, Alnwick, East Fortune, Carlisle Airport, Bowness on Windermere, Warton, Chadderton, Manchester Airport*, Woodford, RAF Cosford, East Midlands Airport* and Derby.
Will post timings for route Friday

Amongst the places being visited on this route:
RAF Waddington, Rutland Water, North Weald Airfield, Gravesend, Herne Bay, Manston, Dover, Ashford, Dunsfold, Farnborough, Middle Wallop, Old Sarum, Bristol Airport*, Filton, Cardiff Airport*, St. Athan, Staverton Glos Airport, RAF Brize Norton*, Wellesbourne, Bruntingthorpe and Newark.
*Passes at certain airports will be dependent on ATC clearances at the time of arrival.

Times have yet to be confirmed and will be published in our newsletter on Friday, but the flights are expected to start after lunch each day. Check these maps nearer the days to see approximate times (from take-off) in the details and we will also advise latest developments over social media in the next 48 hours.

Cheers Paul, if we get home early enough from Manchester on Saturday I may be able to get over to Gainsborough in time to get a look! I don't fancy hanging around Manchester waiting to see it arrive there.

Last Vulcan bomber's final display across Yorkshire

The last flying Vulcan bomber aircraft has performed its final flying display in the north of England.

The plane, based at Robin Hood Airport in South Yorkshire, is due to be grounded next month after engineering backers, including Rolls-Royce, withdrew support.

It was the star attraction over the weekend at the Yorkshire Air Show, which was held at the former RAF Church Fenton airfield near Selby.
