What is this small box for. Its a small box. Has oil in it.

Its located beneath the left rear light from inside the rear trunk. Is it related to the alarm. ?! Its right beneath the convertable motor on the left .

What does it do?

Oil ? It sounds like the alarm tilt sensor is it in a well of sorts ?
