I'm sure this thread has done the rounds before, but what other interesting cars have you had the pleasure of owning and what was it like?
Wanted a Capri but the C-in-C said they looked like a "Kevin" car and would never get in. No Capri then. Nice race day car.Nice! My previous 'fun' car was not much fun, I loved it but it was such a pain to keep on the road:
It was a 1978 Capri 3.0S x pack, 4.2 Rover V8 with omex 710 ECU, BW T5 gearbox, 5 link rear axle with koni coilovers, HiSpec brakes, Image wheels. It was fun when it worked, but I was always chasing electrical problems, it did my head in. I eventually sold it after 8 years of work to pay the deposit on my house!
I've also still got this which keeps me busy (meaning, I've blown up the engine....again)
Took my test in a Chevette estate, interesting carI've had:
Vauxhall Chevette
Vauxhall Avenger
Skoda Estelle
Austin Maxi
Maestro
Cavalier Sri
Vauxhall Senator
BMW 3 series coupe
BMW Z3M Imola
BMW Z3M Silver
Rover 75 (most comfortable and best car I've owned)
I was at RAF St. Athan on my driving course, more like a getaway car from the Valley Commandos! It's a fanny magnet like the 75

I have a friend who had one, he had a brother, and he did. Luckily all 4 got out barely scratched. Not so the Uno.before one of us rolled it.
Best place for them is the scrap yard!I have a friend who had one, he had a brother, and he did. Luckily all 4 got out barely scratched. Not so the Uno.

Ours is bound to be there.....it was at least 25 years ago when we had it.Best place for them is the scrap yard!
