Replaced my broken thermostat and wondered where do the bits of plastic normally end up and are they a problem? They weren’t in the radiator that’s for sure.

Arh the failed open thermostat. I had one of those and have the same plastic parts lost in spaces in the engine somewhere. I don't worry about them, they are not big enough to cause problems.
