Windscreen washer weirdness

This morning I tried to use this. The wipers went back and forth and the headlight spray worked but no windscreen spray.

I just went and looked it and fiddled with two pumps by jiggling them a bit. Now neither the headlight spray or the windscreen spray works although the wipers still go back and forth a few times.

Now I have discovered that the same genius at BMW who decided headlight globes were easiest to replace through the wheel well put the fuse box behind the glove box where it will be easiest to check on lonely stretch of road on a dark wet night. Not.

On the washers any ideas?

No way around checking the fuse in the box other than using a test Lamp on the pump motor connections whilst the washer switch is activated to see if 12v is getting to the pump if it isn't then delve into the fuse box. If you can hear the pump running it may be blocked lines from gunk build up in the reservoir that needs flushing out.

No pump noise from either pump. 30 mins before the headlight pump was running. Guess getting my head into the glove box is on the list tomorrow

Solved. Part problem part me being dumb. Windscreen wash pump was toast. Replaced. Light pump only works when lights on. I did not know this...... so all is good again.
