Anyone converted to the aero wiper blades that you can buy these days? Is it possible to use the original arms or do they need replacing , and is it really worth doing ?
Thank
John

I put them on my Z4 and it was a doddle. They used the same fitment as the originals (hooks). They work a treat too.
I am really surprised @Chipper3 that your Z4 didn't have those fitted as original spec, I thought it was only the old cars like I've got that had the old ones on , my 320d has aero ones and its 2002

Fitted on my Z3. Very easy. Most replacement wipers come with a range of adapters to allow them to be fitted to original arms of various types. Wiper performane much better than those that were fitted when I bought the car (fairly old if not originals) they remove water thoroughly and mine are free from any judder.

Mine's a 2010 and (like others i've seen of that age) they weren't fitted as new.

Another quick question are they both the same size ? It appears on my zed that the passenger side is shorter
Euro parts only list 20" ones

Usually different sizes - suggest you measure the ones on there.

I bought 2x20inch from ECP, can't say I notice any issue, passenger side could be a touch shorter perhaps but no issue and at £9.00 each for the Bosch Aero that's ok (looking at more like 20 each from other sources).

The Z4 took 22 x 20's. I got the Bosch one's also £15.71 for the pair free delivery.

I would definitely replace like for like simply because if someone has had the arms off and not replaced them exactly right when you go to full speed it is possible for the wipers to get tangled up together and that makes a big mess. It's a risk for 1/2" more wiped screen at each end? I've seen this happen a few times over the years.

Tony.

I have the Bosch Aero on mine just click straight on, and yes you need the different lengths, as per Tony, or you could slap a passer by in the face...
