To wrap or not to wrap, I'm really getting on well with my new z3, I really liked the carbon fibre look on the centre console, after seeing they were a bit expensive I thought I'd try wrapping for the first time. Any way for £7:50 a very confused wife after she caught me her hair dryer, and couple of hrs here are the results.

That looks great. A mate of mine has just done the centre of the steering wheel on a 330. He got fed up with it going dull every few days which mine does. I'm thinking of doing the same. Was it easy to do?

Just a couple of screws, the hard part is twisting the console out, if it's something you like then I would really recommend. Just take your time when wrapping and heating. Some good links with pics on here to R&R the centre console. If you have a go and get stuck I will send you my number and talk you through.

It's the wheel centre I'm looking at not the console. Looks great on my mates 330.

Really like the work you have done there on your centre console. This is something I've been thinking on doing on my car as one of the previous owners or someone who worked on the car for them had put a deep scratch on the area near the gear lever gator.
Have to get some wrap sorted of the appropriate colour and finish to do this job.

Wrapping the console seems to give a lift to the interior, I've done mine 4 times now. Black carbon, silver carbon, silver brushed steel and currently burgundy carbon. I had a spell with the genuine brushed aluminium console also. It's about time I changed again I think.

I usually like to keep it all factory. But I must admit if I was going to do one thing to customise it would be carbon fibre wrap a black centre console.

That looks a nice job. And preferable I think to a Sport factory aluminium job.

If you like doing it that often, you can do mine for me ;)
