Hi and a big welcome from Kissimee ( normally near Lincoln) this is a great forum with loads of info and a little friendly banter too. Enjoy it and your car. Where abouts are you? Also we like to see photo's of the car in question when you can.

Cheers,Tony.:)

Welcome @Firefox116

The 2.2i really is a sweet engine but then I'm biased ;). Pictures would be nice when you have calmed down with all the excitment.

Cheers, Gary

Welcome Firefox from Bonzo and Zelda.:drinks: Please be tolerant of Zedonist and understand that he suffers from delusions of grandeur, and so needs to be pitied......Poor thing.:inpain:

Hello from mid northern Canada! Put up some pics or they'll pester the crap out of you and call you all unkind things until either you do or give up on life. There's also a test on tanning caribou hides coming soon so start studying in your off time from driving your lesser model 2.2. JIM mighty massive M44 rules!!

Welcome @Firefox116 I have to agree with @GazHyde that the 2.2i is the most powerful and best sounding engine in the Z3 range. The STIG even prefers it over the Z3M range. OK, I might be exaggerating but I am confident that you will love the car the more you drive it. From wonderful Tasmania [the end of the earth] WELCOME.

Okay have uploaded some images. Mechanically sweet. Some small rust bubbles appearing round the rear wheel arches. That will be the first job.

Hood is in great condition, but could do with a clean. Its a strange material that seems to attract bird crap and and all things fluffy. Any recommendations on how best to clean it (apart from soap and water) ???

Brill. Thanks for that. Green moss/ residue on the hood near where it meets the body of the car. Just needs a good scrub. Oh and the horn doesnt work.

@Firefox116 please don't take any notice of bonzo, we put up with him because he is 'special needs' and he dribbles a lot.

Okay...so washed the car today and discovered that rather a lot of water gathers in the well housing the fuel filler.....design fault ?
