Try spraying the under bonnet connector pins with electrical contact cleaner. I often need to do this to get a connection with my code reader (Foxwell nt530). BTW the under dash socket only reads engine and auto trans modules, nothing else.

You are going to need a scanner with BMW software to read the ABS module. Connect to the under bonnet/hood socket.

A Foxwell NT530 with BMW software and 20 pin to ODB adapter will do it.

There is also a range of Creator scanners that are BMW specific.

If you have an old windows computer, you can set up INPA: https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/...tions-Experiences-Discussions-Experimentation

Once you get the codes, post the code and the description here and we can help.

OBD rule #1 - Delete all of the codes that you see upon first connection. With luck, most of them will be transient. Only note the ones that come up again when you reconnect as they will be "solid".
