Hi, has anybody out there got a wiring diagram showing the engine/ecu connections etc for a 1999 2.0L 6 cylinder Z3.

I have no idea. Took my awhile to find it since the M52tu is a bit different then the earlier M52 or M54 set ups.

I print small sections off as I need them and work from two screens to sort out what I need.

Set up the printer to only print the page numbers you need and not the full hundreds of pages

The BMW pdfs are searchable which make them much easier to navigate. That's not just off the index, they are there for component locations, splice locations, earthing points and connector types.
