Z3 facial surgery.

Well, when the stars get wrinkles they have surgery so I thought (looking at the old girl) maybe I could make
her look a bit younger, after all that effort on the paint I decided to fit the new lights even though I've had them a couple of weeks and didn't relish the wiring, two days later and everything worked just right with the wiring loose, whent ahead and permanently wired tested again.

Looks very nice Roy, plus I like the eyebrows too, I'm biased I know but the only things I'm missing are the angel eye fog lights, which or may not be in my suitcase when I come home. I think those lights take a lot of years off these cars!

Tony the only reason I bought the halo spots is they were cheap Chinese ones and the OEM ones just don't go with the new ones.
Have no intesion of wiring the spot halo's up. Hope your Holls are going ok.

Getting plenty of work done Roy, theory being, get it done early then relax. If I get some of those lights I will wire up the halo's. Also scanning eBay.com for gear lever chrome surround.

Thanks Shelly but remember, beauty is only skin deep so when you see my Z in the flesh don't look too hard cos its paint is 16yrs old and when I'm cleaning it I quiet often think it should have a re spray. Since joining .org I've found a renewed love for it and can't stop buying new bits, HELP!!!!!!!!!

Tony, there's so many new wires at the end of the harness I had to make up and wiring the spots up would make it even more, ok there's only one feed and two new earths but I found it a nightmare to do, leaning over the engine and using all that tape took its toll on my back. Now I have to buy a extinguisher just in case.Taking it to my mechs garage next week to get the h/lights adjusted even though I did the garage door mark em trick, which was quite embarrassing. You see I locked myself in my dark garage mid morning put lights on marked inside my up and over garage door, when I lifted the door to come out the man in garage opposite was standing there looking amazed and said " hello Roy what on earth were you doing in there on your own" with rye smile looking over my shoulder I said " ok love you can come out now it's not my wife". Had a good laugh with him when I told him what I was actually doing.

When we arrived on Wednesday afternoon we noticed that the garage door handle wasn't horizontal,as it should be, and when I tried the door from inside it lifted up because someone had let the spring loaded lock go and not reset it to "lock". Manco hadn't spotted it either. W.....s!. That won't happen again, been to Lowes and got some nuts and bolts!

Tony I got those spots for £45 on eBay if you can't get a better deal out there, not the best on the market no doubt but in all the years I've had the Z I've only used them once, I even thought of doing away with them and using the openings to channel some good cold air to the filter, never got round to it.

It's a one piece double garage door Jim. I might struggle to get that under sporting equipment on a Virgin flight.
