Z3 Fuel Gauge

Mine is intermittent. Before I start taking things apart, is it likely to be the gauge or the sender? I had wondered whether the gauge itself was mounted on some sort of circuit board, as it possibly comes on or goes off when I press the trip reset button.

Fuel sender is most likely. It's accessed behind the drivers seat, you'll need to cut the carpet (it's marked out where to do the cuts).

If your fuel gauge hasn't been "reading" silly levels I would check the gauge first, easy job to remove them.
