Hi,
I am in search for someone who has a broken front M bumper. I need the left side platstic guide that lines up the bumper when mounted on the car. (Pic attached, don’t know how to call it)
It’s important that it comes from a M bumper, standard ones are different.

Daniel

I don’t think it ever was. It’s glued to the bumper (plastic soldered), I could not identify it as a separate part on realoem. The bumper I have is intact except that mounting bracket :(

I've looked at RealOEM - and I agree with you. It would need to come from a damaged M bumper.

Dam I thought I might have tracked something down early hours this morning but looking again…..

But looking at that part number on Realoem it’s for a 1.9?

Thinking out of the box, do you think it’s possible to fit onto your damaged side the bracketry that attaches to the bumper and what that attaches to from a Z3 number being so they are cheap as a make do for now untill you can find a decent secondhand ///M bumper.

Is the right side bracket a mirror of the left? If so possible to have it 3D scanned and printed, I’ve seen companies in England offering this services but most likely at a price and a new original would be a princely sum of €923.69 excluding delivery https://www.lllparts.co.uk/product/51110307535/panel-bumper-primed-front

No secondhand bumpers on uk eBay at the moment.

The one from your link seems to be the corect one.

I already have one bracket sourced from a 1.9 bumper (picture on the left) and it is different than the one on the M bumper (picture on the right). I circled the main differences. It also doesn’t fit the bumper perfectly, it sits a little bit odd when placed on the bumper.

The one in your link seems identical to the one I have on the bumper.
Could it be a difference because of the production year, and not the model?

Also another diference is that the one from 1.9 bumper has the part number on it, the one from M bumper does not.

I only need the left side bracket, bumper is already repaired but bracket was completly lost :(

It does not matter if it’s from a M bumper or any other as long as it’s the corect model (like pictures above)

I’d be surprised if the ///M bumper fixing guide is different to any other z3 one as the front bumpers are all entirely interchangeable

I have an idea so its the bit thats bonded to the bumper thats different.
So why not get both parts ( bit on bumper and bit on car ) off of say a 6cyl and bond one onto your bumper fit other bit on car then they will match .
As the bonnets are the same so bumper should marry up still as must be same shape around headlight and bonnet lower edge.
Just a suggestion.
Stephen.

Not a bad idea. The good thing is that I have the bit that is mounted on the car. I will try to test this week. Didn’t think of that :)

Bump! No broken bumpers around? :(
You could try and contact Artiom Blinov, he's a reliable Z3M breaker from Lithuania. Maybe he has a broken bumper where the parts can be cut off.

Still looking. The one I’m interested in is the one on the right in the picture, actually from the left of the bumper (passenger side for rhd)
