Hello,I’m trying to work out what I need to replace the top mounts on the front struts on my M Roadster.
I have the OEM part numbers and the BMW ones are about £280.00 each which seems pricey.

Aftermarket ones don’t seem to be available anywhere ie Lemforder etc they are about £70.00 each but out of stock everywhere.
What I’ve gleaned so far is the M car mounts are different to the non M and they are handed left and right. The ones I’ve found seem to be left or right and look concentric and quite different to the ones I think I need.

has anyone had any experience of the M car top mounts or is the only route, keep the 24 year old ones or get my eyeballs pulled out by BMW.
Any advice welcome.
Cheers.

I waited nearly two years to get the oem ones and paid a bit less than your quote.
Pays to Google about, a bit cheaper

I did see some from Corteco some time ago but decided to go oem

never heard of this make from the states if you need to save money though

I went OEM too. They are sided and offset so non M are different.

Thanks for the replies,
There does seem to be more choice available in the US.
Turner motorsports in the USA Have a KYB version the numbers seem to match. With shipping and duty etc I can get both for the same price as 1 OEM, think I’ll give them a try.

Personally I wouldn't use First-line. If you do, make sure to keep your receipt safe.

TBH I've never heard of them before, just googled the part.

First used them in the early to mid 90s Niall. Quality was never great. Parts aimed at the retail car market I reckon.

KYB are good stuff, you won't go far wrong with them.
