Thanks, and you are correct, it is not street legal. It has @ 55,000 miles, all track. It was part of a teaching fleet. Never licensed, no head lights, etc. Story goes like this: BMW hoped for a racing league like the Miata. But the league never materialized.

Yes, the car belows to my husband and me. We drive at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, Illinois. A road track facility similar in concept to a golf country club. The road course has 3 configurations: 3.5 mile full track, 2.2 mile south track and 1.3 mile north track.

The Miata does get used as a track car over here @Karen D'Arcy but sadly they corrode very badly over here. Not so much a problem in the western desert states I guess.
