Hi just joined , converted from mx5 mk1 and z4 (sold due to wedding but worth it ) , needed a roadster back in my life so trying a z3 1.9 , spent loads on it but now just seat runners and few scratches to do , I'm told from the guys at ETA west kings down that this is the place to go for parts and info

Welcome @Flameboy!

You will most likely find the motor has gone or something is stopping the seat from lowering. Good news is that if it goes backwards/forwards you can get to the 2 nuts (front) and 2 bolts (rear) holding the seat in place. This means you can take it out and have a good look at the mechanism. Would probably be worth changing the seat bushes at the same time if your seats rock forwards on braking!

There are some useful guides on general stuff to do with faulty seats...

Any more specific questions, just shout!

Cheers, Gary

Hi from frigid mid northern Canada where at the moment temp is between -40c and -50c with wind chill. As Gaz said, lots of info on your seat repairs and @Aceman can set you up with seat bushes and @Lee for motors should you need. Enjoy and welcome to the Massive 44. JIM
