Z4 2.5 sport anygood?

Was has perusing the auto ads the other day. Z4 2.5 sport on 53 -56 plate cars with all the toys kept coming up. Some lovely cars at cheap prices. But is it any good?. Ok a 3.0 would be nice but 2-3 grand more. Probably no rocket ship but they can't be that slow can they?. They seemed so much car for the money.

In that age range it depends on which engine... There are 2 power outputs on the M54 2.5 IIRC, and the later Si 2.5 is considerably more power wise.

Fundamentally would be as good a car as any, but all depends on how quick you want to go

The standard Z4 2.5 is 192bhp which is the same as my (and all other) 2.8 Z3 standard cars. Plenty of power and low down torque. Go and try one, I dont think you'd be disappointed.

The standard 2.5 has plenty of grunt and is soooooo smooth through the rev range. Later cars and 3.0's are faster but not as sweet IMHO. Give the 2.5 a try!

Hello,
take a ride with a 2.5i and enjoy the ride.
Some modefications, and a 2.5i got performence: KW V3, Quaife slip diff and light rims...
A friend in germany make this performence upgrade and I have no chance with my 3.0i
