Going in for an alignment this week and would like to get a good setup. Anyone got any advice on settings?
Please note my zed is on eibach springs and whiteline arb's which are the same thickness as a z4m and an 18" staggered wheel setup with 15mm front and 20mm rear spacers, brand new goodyear f1 assy5's.

I am no expert in the field of suspension so I have read into the subject but also read so much conflicting information on this subject for the z4.

I have read that the z4 is set with too much rear camber and not enough front camber so that it understeers to make it safer for the average joe.

Before I fitted the new suspension set up the replaced falkens had worn the rear right on the inner edges as though there is too much toe. The fronts worn on both the inner and outer edges but really severely on the inner edges.

What I am after is neutral handling where tramlining is non existant, I am fed up of those brown trouser moments where the car darts about all over the place, I want to steer where the car goes and not have to react to bump steer all the time, its down right tiring!

I don't intend to track it and would like a setup that preserves the life of the tyres as much as is feasible in my quest for zero tramlining.

Rear.........With wider tyres on the rear can I run less camber than the front, will this be too much for the road due to oversteer? Regarding toe.....zero? toe in or out?

Front............screw out the camber pins and go for max camber? More grip? but will this tramline and bump steer? Toe....zero? toe in or out?

Any advice and numbers greatly appreciated.

Not sure its of any help, but I had mine done on Saturday and its made quite a difference.

It was very twitchy on the steering, hit even a cats eye and I was having to correct.

Its a lot less twitchy now and seems to go were its pointed more sharply, if that makes sense.

Any way hope this helps

Thanks Chaz for your setup, much appreciated.
I decided to go for a z4m setup as a starting point. I went for -1.20 front camber with 0.04 total toe in.
Rear camber -1.50. z4m toe in is total 0.22 but on reading my zeds toe, it was 0.1 on each side, the inner edge had been aggressively worn so went for a total toe in of 0.08 to reduce tyre wear.
I also had new Goodyear F1 assymetric 5's fitted.
The results are superb.... .zero tramlining, zero bump steer. Car feels very planted and stable at high speed with good turn in and no constant corrections.
Wet weather grip is now in another league, I am now a very happy zed pilot!
Next job is sound....the 6 cylinder type.

Thanks for the update, just off the the Nurburgring for a few days then a quick visit to Spa, but I might give that a go when I get back and see if there is much difference and which I prefer, do you have a full readout of your settings you could share ?

Quite a lot of the Z4 owners opt for the M3 CSL geo. I ran it on my coupe for a while.
