I've been looking at Z4's more and more recently, especially the 3.0 Si, is there something wrong with me=))=))=)). Spotted this one 2005 53k tiptronic and as you can see it has a few upgrades, Alpina wheels also front and rear bumpers £8k. Any thoughts?

Over priced for a car with basic spec and a few changed panels. Probably worth more like 4-4.5k.

For that money I'd look for a 3.0Si Sport.

Thanks Gaz, duly noted.

Agree with Gaz, It is over priced for a 2005. When you think 2008 models with full spec are going for only 1k more

A nice looking car, but, take away the wheels and it comes out a bit pricey for the car and mileage. Go with the 3.0si sport suggestion if you can.
I'll have the wheels ;)

The problem with this decision always ends up going the same way and you have to remind yourself that they are two different cars. Almost worth thinking of the Z4 as if it's from a different company. Not sure why Z3 owners moan about them so much.

The Z4 is a better car in most areas than the the Z3, but will it give you the same feeling owning it? Dunno. I never really bonded with my 2004 3.0, but I'm loving my current one more and more. I find it as good to look at as the 3, probably a little more aggressive looking than pretty - but cars are subjective.

But it's not a Z3, which is why I'm probably clinging on to mine and not selling it.

Cars cause emotional issues, and there is always the itch to try something new. The Z4 is a great car to scratch that itch with.

Wish I didn't like having a convertible, because I'd have sold mine and bought a Z4 Coupe by now. Now that is a stunning looking car.

Because I didn't spend too much on my Z3 as its not my daily drive, so if i spent thousands on a weekend car I'd feel it a bit more, also as you know Gaz I've replaced all bushes and suspension and much more, now its sorted and drives nice, I couldn't part with it, buying a fourth car would be a step too far.

I think the Z4 E85 is a great looking car mate, that said and as Gaz said, it's a very subjective issue. You like what you like and whatever you like is the best car. I dare say that if you'd had a 4 before the 3 you'd like that more. Nice problem to have though.
