I know that some of you have recently bought E85 Z4s. The manual of mine, (Monty), said that some came with a gizmo that allowed the front headlights to be switched from right hand drive to left hand drive by shifting a lever in the headlight well under the front wheel arch. Sadley I could not find the lever on Monty so presumed it wasn't fitted. I just wondered if any of you have this feature on your E85s Z4s, Its quite useful if you are considering taking your Zed abroad this year.

Found this

On halogens take the wheel arch plastic panel and light assembly covers (held in place by springs) off the light assembly until you see the back of the bulb and chromed back of the beam reflector. The lever is metal and looks like a male spade connector about maybe 7mm x 1mm and slides vertically to blank off the top of the beam pattern - the bit that illuminates roadsigns on the LHS verge on a RHD car leaving a rectangular beam shape that doesn't dazzle oncoming drivers.

With Zenons un-twist a little round cap (50mm diameter( ish)) on the top of each headlight, and lift a lever that seemed to curve over the top of the headlight. The lever won't move much and is a little flexible ?????

No I haven't got Zenons, Nodzed, they are standard bulbs. Now I have an E89 Z4 I must look to see if they list the same adjuster in the hand book.

No @NODZED I was actually trying to alert others to this feature, I thought some may not know that it was there. It's very usefull If you are taking you car abroad. As I originally said I could not find it on Monty, much to my annoyance. When we're in France I sometimes forget that you need to do something about the lights, much to the annoyance of the local inhabitants. Also I don't like sticking those deflectors to the headlight lenses, there a nuisance to get off when they have been on there a couple of weeks.

No worries I know for next time. I should keep my signature message in mind.
