Couple of our Zedshed Cymru group paid a visit to the Shed today, one Z4 3.0l and one Z3 3.0l.
Z4 recently acquired after years of standing, airbag light on owners scanner wouldn't reset it. Full Health Scan using my Launch Scanner showed up drivers seat belt pretensioner high resistance. Code cleared and light went out, cycled ignition a few times and it stayed off. Will have to see if it stays off or comes back after a few driving cycles. If it reappears then pretensioner will be changed. Quite a few historic codes also showed up and were cleared and didn't come back. Bodywork looks ok for a car that was left standing. Going to clean up very well by the look of it.
The Z3 came in for a quick check over, leaking cam cover gasket very evident and the beginnings of a hairline crack right top of radiator top of the mounting clip. going to fit a replacement radiator after the cam cover gasket job is completed, given its age its not worth melting the cracked area to seal it. Will be giving it an oil and filter change when we do the cam cover. Oil will be from Opie Oils and be owners choice of Brand. Full Health Scan with the Launch Tablet revealed a few historic codes that cleared and didn't return.
