As always HT using incorrect information. There are no such people as Eskimos, but there are Inuit people that bear a striking resemblance and do inhabit the Canadian and American north. JFYI and political correctness. Don't go drinking in any northern bars over here HT. They can skin and debone a caribou in 12 minutes.!!

How long does that take to cook on the BBQ and can you stick a can of beer up its backside before doing so?

o_O I know it's Sunday morning but I'm now a bit confused by this thread is Alyn trying to fit cruise control on a caribou or an Inuit? Pre or post facelift?

Thanks vintage42 Kind of you. I think I'll have to try to get the earlier throttle body or perhaps the butterfly linkage and cable bracket. Have to take a look on ebay or see if the parts are available from BMW
.

Thanks Vintage42. Mine is also a 97 and your pics will make life easier for me as I piece together my CC. I bought the actuator and it will be shipped with my other purchases by the PO. They don't allow loose parts while onboard ship due to theft so need to get all the loose parts shipped separate unless I paid £600 more for a container. From the pics it looks like the bracket to attatch the cable is the important piece. Was all the wiring already installed such as the clutch switch? JIM

My cruise control was original equipment put on by the factory, so I can't say. But the second photo shows a sub-harness coming off the main harness for the cruise control motor, so I expect the entire car is pre-wired for whatever the cruise control needs.
There is a switch on the clutch pedal that prevents starting unless the pedal is depressed, but this is not related to cruise control. I suppose you are talking about connections in the harness for switches that turn off the cruise control if the clutch or brake pedals are used.

The plastic plenum, the 8v rocker cover, and the M44 in the Z3 stopped at 99 facelift, although was available in other BMW models

Realoem shows only M43 after 05/99

The photos above show two different throttle body configurations, one M44 one M43, I assume there's is also a bracket change to allow two bowden cables. My 99 M44 has the same as yours, space for the cruise Bowden to be connected.
