Yes, a bit disappointing that it didn’t sell for more, but I guess it’s still almost 10 times the cost of the donor car. If it’s not going to be a lucrative investment, then I think the mistake would be to have one of these and not drive it and enjoy it as much as possible.
It may sound like a lot for a Z3, but these are extremely expensive to build. And the hundreds and hundreds of hours that goes into them are free.
OK, we shouldn't think of building these for profit, as it rarely works with cars. That car (unless there are issues with it) would have sold for at least £20k more just a year ago.
Maybe it's a sign of the market or economy in general?
After all, our friend Mr Trump has wiped tens of thousands off all our pensions in the last few months, and these cars are generally (I am guessing) bought by retirees on a good income?
