Event 30th September 2018 - The South Downs Annual Run.

Hi Paul

I am trying to convince Mrs Tearoom that this would be a great trip to do, so she is going to check her really busy social diary to see if clashes with any of her choir events.
All being well she will be free and we will be able to attend.
We will be looking to travel on the Saturday, so where would be the best place to find some 'zed & breakfast' for our overnight stay?
I haven't done this trip before, so I'm really hoping we can make it.

I will be booking Goodwood very soon for the garage area as last year. I think we all enjoyed having that area for a very good price. Once I have some numbers I can work out the price split between us all. Should be around the same price as last year I hope. Route worked well so with a few minor tweaks should be good for everybody and the views are good too.

If you have not seen the main thread, please read and put your name down if you have not already done so. I will be restricting the numbers from the UK at 27 cars. Seems a strange number but it is either that or I have to book a much bigger area at Goodwood so the overall cost would be extra on everybody's ticket. That is 27 from the UK and 10 from Holland @DutchScorpion. If there are an increase in numbers to a larger extent I am sure the larger area can be booked.

Just had a discussion with Goodwood. I can get up to 50 cars now for £200. so that is £4 a car. Get your name on the list.

Would be nice if a few wanted to lead a group too. Its not too hard. Satnav file to follow and you just keep an eye on the group behind. You have to start somewhere and the South Downs is a nice one to start with.

Ok Folks..

By the look of it.. we are going to be down on numbers. I hope to make 40. if thats the case I will need to collect £5 per car for the Goodwood parking and extras. Same as last year. I will be paying Goodwood in advance.. £200..... yes.. £200.... its gone up.

Can people please pay via PayPal as the same as last year. I am hoping for up to 10 Dutch to join us on the Sunday too. For those that have been to Holland on the Limborit, there is a drive and meet up with the Dutch on the Saturday via a private PM chat. By the look of it due to hotels and issues in getting good parking, they will be staying at the PI in Farnborough. There is also a Travelodge just around the corner from the BMW HQ for the Sunday start if people are looking for hotels. Usual Saturday night meal will be in a local premises for those wishing to join, please can you let me know too. Its a lot of work doing a full weekend but I think this will be worth it.

Also, what's the deal with breakfast at the BMW HQ? Do they have a food truck serving breakfast on cash sales there or something?

Not a problem. The breakfast at the BMW HQ is free. It’s a big cafe in the main building and we get to use the facilities and look around the collection that’s on show.

For Goodwood. I have to pay for the privilege of getting into the central area and parking with a few extras. It’s worth doing as I am sure a few will tell you. My PayPal is pgunter@btconnect.com When sending via PayPal can you add your forum name to the payment so I can track the list.
