I don't have a pump in my car @Xcution but I would expect there to be four bolts attaching the pump. Just remove those being careful with the hydraulic lines and move it aside to get to the base unit and follow the instructions from there ! GL. JIM
What do the hydraulic lines look like. That is my biggest concern. I am not super car smart. I am computer smart :) lol

I believe there are two lines that are a whitish plastic and run into the pump as well as a wiring harness. If no one else has a better answer by tomorrow morning I'll dig out my Bentley manual and check it out!! JIM

The pump will swing out of the way rather than dismount and risk the hydraulic lines.

You'll struggle to find a DIY that goes into the detail you're looking for. It's about a) getting the right type b) orientating it correctly to the line of the wing c) pushing it hard using silicone lubricant if required. I've done 2. One went in like a dream (pre-facelift) the other was a wrestling match (facelift).

you don't need to remove the pump!!!

just loosen the bolts holding it and move it out of the way slightly.

Get some pretty young thing in a bikini to do the video and turn the camera on herself then the bolts because that's the only way your video will be guaranteed to get viewings!! JIM

Never mind....
Using the advice of our IT department's 'expert' knowledge...(and every other one I have come across) :computer:
"have you tried switching the car off and back on again?"
If that doesn't work, just replace it with new car, that should sort it..
=))

Lol poor IT guys. You would be surprised restarting your computer works so many times, but three times is a charm

Changed mine today the old one had crumbled , £11 ! Not east to get in either , I could not get it to push up through the hole while it was assembled so I put the grommet in first then had to jack the threaded part up using several washers and a 6mm bolt .

Trust yourself a bit if you get the carpet back and take a look it will all become fairly obvious what needs to come off and how. If needs be take a few photos along the way to reference putting it back together. It's really not that a difficult job....be brave ;)
