Thank you Leo, that must give around a 30% weight saving right there.

This is an incredible project for someone your age and experience. You should be contacting the likes of JLR and other car makers and also BAE etc. They will be fighting to get you on their graduate schemes even before you start A levels. You’ll probably get help with battery systems and control electronics.

As said several times - invest in proper safety wear and safe methods of working. I used to work in health & safety. Retrieving parts of people left behind in machinery is not for the feint heated. Often you don’t get a second chance. One mistake has great capacity to stop your budding engineering career dead in its tracks - possibly literally. Be safe!
Rotating parts, electricity and gravity will always win.

Much as everyone wants to see progress, put your school work first. Ok:thumbsup:

Problems have arisen so I will be discontinuing this thread and the project will continue and I'm leaving zroadster.org for a long time, most likely I will probably never come back and I also have left all owner group and page on FB as well and you can find the original thread herehttps://www.facebook.com/Convert2Electric/ and I would probably no longer update.
sorry for the inconvenience
